Position Overview:

Your responsibilities will include processing customer payments, reconciling PayPal accounts, generating customer statements and dunning letters, managing customer account details. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately handle credit card and EFT transactions while promptly recording and allocating payments.
  • Regularly reconcile PayPal accounts, promptly addressing any discrepancies to ensure accurate records.
  • Generate and distribute customer statements regularly and send dunning letters to customers with outstanding balances.
  • Monitor customer accounts and initiate credit holds when necessary.
  • Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve outstanding issues and release credit holds.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to process trade account applications from prospective customers. Review required documentation, perform credit checks, and gather additional information as needed.
  • Regularly update and maintain accurate customer account information in the accounting system. This include managing customer contact details, credit terms, payment terms, and other relevant information.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of the accounts receivables sub-ledger, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptly.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in accounts receivable or in similar role. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and tools, with experience in processing customer payments and reconciling accounts (MYOB is preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve customer enquiries and issues professionally and efficiently,
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
