Impact Innovation is a specialist innovation and technology commercialisation consultancy.

Established in 2006, we help business innovators achieve a higher return on innovation investment by delivering new products and services to the market, creating new business models, designing effective innovation processes, and upskilling innovation teams.

Impact Innovation works with research organisations, SME’s, large corporates, not for profits and government agencies that are commercialising new products and services or establishing internal innovation systems. We are also the APAC partner for the Brightidea innovation management platform which is used by organisations such as Cisco, GE and Bayer.

With more than 40 projects being implemented at any one time and rapid expansion of company activities, opportunities exist for a Commercialisation Strategists to join our team. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop commercialisation strategy for our clients
  • Design and deliver commercialisation services focussed on delivering client outcomes
  • Deliver research commercialisation training and skills development events
  • Deliver our Commercialisation Navigator® tool to clients
  • Management of research commercialisation projects and teams
  • Maintaining and growing client relationships during project delivery
  • Prepare tenders and proposals in response to client requests
  • Work effectively with other team members to implement client engagement strategies
  • Contribute to Impact Innovation Group’s success 

Key skills, experience and attributes: 

  • Knowledge of research commercialisation
  • Project management skills demonstrating an ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • An understanding of commercialisation systems and approaches
  • Business development and client engagement skills
  • Experience in delivering training and adult learning programs
  • Experience in delivering high impact consulting services
  • Experience in tendering and proposal preparation
  • Effective writing skills
  • Time management and planning skills, as an independent worker and within a team
