Outsource Institute is a Brisbane based Registered Training Organisation that believes in the value and integrity of a quality education, having been in operation for over 22 years in Australia. They specialise in the training and assessment of nationally accredited and non-accredited business and engineering programs ranging from Certificate II to Advanced Diploma. Their customised engineering advanced trade qualifications are aimed at upskilling workforces and individuals to enable them to be formally recognised within their chosen industry, nationally or globally.

They are currently seeking a skilled Trainer & Assessor to deliver Cert III and Cert IV Engineering programs. The successful applicant will be based at their Eight Mile Plains office and will report to the Compliance and Training Coordinator.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare and execute appropriate training methodologies
  • Conduct training and assessment face to face or on-line
  • Design student Individual Training Plan and prepare students for assessment
  • Actively participate in curriculum development, implementation, and review
  • Consult with workplace representative to identify the training needs of the client and the students
  • Complete administrative duties and training documentation as required 

Key skills, experience and attributes:

  • Preferable 5-10+ years’ experience engineering trade
  • Previous RTO Training and Assessment services highly advantageous
  • TAE qualification or willingness to obtain one
  • Valid Driver’s License, reliable and registered vehicle with the ability to travel locally and interstate (up to 2 weeks per month)
  • Demonstrated high level of technical skills and experience
  • High level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be flexible and work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight time frames
  • Collaborative skills working as a member of a training team
  • Professional, customer focused, and self-motivated
  • Fully competent with all Microsoft packages and able to pick up new systems
  • Have or willing to obtain a Working with Children’s Check and a Police Clearance
